Sometimes, the environment you are born into tries to dictate the rest of your life. For a long time, the grueling manual labor of the Mississippi cotton fields seemed like the only predictable path set out for me. But deep down, I refused to believe that the plow was my final destination.
My true pivot happened when I entered the US Army Signal Corps.
It was there that I was exposed to radio theory and complex electronics. Suddenly, everything clicked. I discovered I had an innate, natural aptitude for this highly technical work. It wasn't an accident; it was a revelation. My mind was engineered for this.
We all have moments where our true calling flashes before us. The key is to be prepared to answer that call, leaving behind the limitations society has placed on you, and stepping boldly into what you were truly designed to do. Never settle for the expected path when a divine assignment is waiting.
